Univention Corporate Desktop (UCD) and Univention Corporate Server (UCS) provide a basement for linux-based desktops. They can be administrated and maintained centrally. The desktop solution UCD is a complete desktop software and includes among all an operating system and all important desktop applications. Open Office is already included to provide a solutions for daily office work where you have to create, edit and manage texts, presentations, charts and databases. You can use Firefox or Konquerer as your browser and with GnomeMeeting you can handle video conferences. Speaking of multimedia applications, many tools are available to play or burn CDs and DVDs.
