Moreover, we work intensively within the OTRS project "otrs.org" and support the project with maintenance, development and bugfixing within the OTRS core and OTRS additional modules. OTRS (former Open Ticket Request System) is a ticket and communication management system developed under the free software licence AGPL. Our wide extended products KIX4OTRS and KIXbox have been developed based on the OTRS.

To influence the current development of the software and to actively exchange opinions with community representatives and members beyond the realised and currently running projects with our customers, we support OTRS Community Board (OCB) founded in February 2011. OCB is a committee of OTRS community members and promotes the further development of the OTRS software and the OTRS community. Therefore, OCB participates in regional community meetings (so-called “Stammtische”, group of regulars) and is represented within different events as among all LinuxTag in Berlin, Chemnitzer Linux-Tage, FrOSCon or OpenRheinRuhr.
